How To Manage and Collaborate Remote Work During the Pandemic: Lessons from Working with Leading Environmental Consultants and Operators

During these unprecedented times, the ability to maintain project efficiency and ongoing team collaboration, while continuing to regulate costs can single-handedly determine the longevity of many environmental services organizations.

As difficult of a task as that may seem, it is not impossible. With new government grants available (e.g. Site Rehabilitation Program) and revolutionary new software solutions, remediation and fieldwork can continue and even thrive in the current climate.

In this session, Matidor.com CEO, Vincent Lam, will use real-life case studies to demonstrate how environmental operators and consultants can take advantage of new methodologies and technological innovations to improve collaboration and efficiency across project teams.

It’s undeniable that remediation and field project management can be extremely challenging at the best of times. With all of its moving parts, the process of accessing tabular and spatial information requires numerous steps and involves a large number of stakeholders. This can often result in a frustratingly slow and costly process. From working with various operators, a few days of delayed updates could amount to tens of thousands of unnecessary costs.

Making matters worse, many of the traditional software solutions available on the market are siloed, fragmented, and unable to provide accurate and timely project information. Fortunately, things are changing!

Speaker Bio: Vincent Lam, CEO, Matidor.com

Vincent is a serial entrepreneur and an innovator at heart, with more than 20 years of experience in commercializing enterprise software. As the former Technical Lead at Google Earth, Vincent had the unique opportunity to work with the latest GIS technologies. Later, he joined Dassult Systeme as a Product Portfolio Manager, where he was responsible for the successful delivery of multiple mining-related products. During the past 7 years, Vincent has been involved in the creation of three different technology startups, and has worked with various oil and gas and environmental companies to improve efficiency and collaboration across their projects.
